March is my favourite month of the year. Why, you ask? Cause I said so. Also, because it means the start of spring and a brand new MLB season (Blue Jays!) and it's also MY BIRTHDAY. So, I wanted to get this out there in internet land and give you atleast two weeks notice to send me all your birthday gifts, cards, well-hidden cash, cheques, Wu-Tang albums, eadible goods, including - but not limited to - ice cream cake. Word? Word.
On a non-birthday-related-note, I was recently approved for FACTOR funding for my new music video, "Beautiful Mess". Watch for that to drop this spring!

In honor of Valentine's Day, tonight at The Odeon in Saskatoon I will be rocking all your favourite R. Kelly cover songs such as - but not limited to - "Your Body's Calling", "Bump & Grind" and "Can We Get Up on a Room". Grab your lover by the hand and come on down.

You might, recognize Mr. J. Medeiros from the feature he did on my new record - The BirthWrite LP - alongside Pigeon John - on "Dream On".
Mr. J has been around for over a decade, as a solo artist and member of The Procussions. You may remember The Procussions were the first group to be released on the re-launch of Rawkus Records back in the day. The record was called 5 Sparrow for 2 Cents and featured Talib Kweli, Ahmad and more.
Back in the summer, Mr. J. Medeiros reached out to me on Twitter and asked me to feature on a track of his. My dude RELIC also hopped on the track and the end result was a Stro Elliott-produced (Phonte, etc.) joint with the three of us called "Tri Cycle".

Whatup grease monkeys.
I wanted to drop you a quick line, if you're in the Saskatoon-area I have a couple dope shows coming up. First off, this Sunday night - December 9 - at The Odeon I'll be rocking your faces off in my Christmas sweater at the Machine Gun Kelly show. Tickets are $40/$75 for VIP and are going FAST! This is an EARLY/ALL-AGES show, doors at 7pm, MGK is on no later than 10pm. Peep and RSVP the Facebook event!
I remember wayyy back in the day, hearing this raspy-voiced cat on The Notorious B.I.G.'s classic Life After Death album on a joint called "Last Day". That was back in... oh... 1999? (dang, I feel old). That dude happened to go by the name of Jadakiss and on December 13 the O.G. himself (Bad Boy/Ruff Ryders/Def Jam/Roc-a-fella) is coming to Tequila. I will also be rocking this show and I am super amped about it. Jadakiss has done work with everyone from Jay-Z and Biggie, to Nas and Snoop Dogg. Advance tickets are $29, VIP is $45! Peep the Facebook event and RSVP, here!
See y'all at the show!

I am on tour right now with an old homie of mine from Los Angeles, by the name of RedCloud. One of the best freestyle emcees I have ever seen, Cloud is the 5x battle champion at the legendary Power 106 FM hip-hop station in Los Angeles. I first met this fool in 2006... it's hard to believe it's been 6 years since we last connected. RedCloud toured over 50 dates with Tech N9ne and MURS in 2008 and this weekend I saw him and his better half - Crystle Lightning - take home "Best Rap Album" for the world debut of LightningCloud (RedCloud + Crystle Lightning = LightningCloud) at the 2012 APCMAs. I was so dang proud of those animals. Get hipped to the game with them over at HipHopCanada.com
*Side note: this chick is also an accomplished Hollywood actress, rocking roles in Days of Our Lives, Touched by an Angel and American Pie: Bandcamp :: click this link, dummy.
I know, I know... THE "BEAUTIFUL MESS" VIDEO IS DROPPING SOON, y'all.
Catch me rocking all three SK (Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert) dates on Mad Child's "Dope, Sick" Tour next week.
I've got lots more in my pants for 2013, more videos, more music, more sexy time. Stay posted!

Whatup my Rashions! I'm sitting on a random, cold, dark basement floor here in Edmonton about to take a nap, but I wanted to holler at you guys first! The Go Get Em Kid Tour is in full-effect with my dudes Calgary's Transit & Crosswalk and BC's Immaculate. We went to Zeller's this aft and bought a mannequin for the merch table: #amazing. I almost ran over a couple of pedestrians and hit a parked car. I probably shouldn't drive anymore on this tour :). I am really stoked to be going back to BC! I was born there but have been in Saskatoon my whole life. September 2 we shot the new music video for "Beautiful Mess" in my mom and dad's garage! The video release party is November 10 in Saskatoon with some very special guests! Stay tuned for the DL!
I haven't showered in 4 days. Come out and party with us at one of the shows!

Well, that was definitely, without a doubt, a craaazy 10 days. The Extra Miles tour was a friggin' blast. Faces were melted, brothers were born and memories made that will definitely last a lifetime. My dudes Rel McCoy, Fresh Kils and Abstract Artform held it down with Shortop and I. Big shout to Ab's for letting us terrorize his house for a couple of days. That dude is a beast. Literally.
I will be hitting the road again at the end of September to early October with my homie Transit from Calgary. He has a new EP dropping August 21 titled Public Domain which features Madchild from Swollen Members fame. Check out the music video for "I'm So Indie" - one of the singles off his last record, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ab_IMDQ2kE
Transit and I will be kicking off the tour in Edmonton, heading to Lethbridge, running through my hometown here in Saskatoon (+ Regina) before we wrap up in BC with a handful of dates. Tour poster and all tour dates will be released soon.
Also, this August I will be shooting a music video for the second single off of my debut album - which BTW just dropped on iTunes last week: http://itun.es/ib66GD - I will reveal which song it is very soon!
Lots of other stuff is going on as well so keep posted up over here at www.spreadtherash.com, hit me on facebook and @ me on twitter my rashes!
